Restaurant Ammolite (the Lighthouse restaurant) in Rust (Baden-Württemberg), Brenners Park Restaurant in Baden-Baden (Baden-Würtenberg) and Esszimmer in Munich, have all gained a second star in the 2015 guide. Noteworthy is that Restaurant Ammolite is situated on Europa-Park, the largest theme park in Germany, and EssZimmer in Munich is located in the BMW exhibition centre and museum BMW Welt.
Two-star restaurant Villa Merton will no longer be featured in the guide, as the restaurant will close at the end of 2014. Restaurant Buddenbrooks in Lübeck has been demoted to one-star, due to a chef change. The 2015 guide will feature 38 two-star restaurants in total.
